Collagen Induction

Preformed by Registered Nurses and Internationally Qualified Technicians

What is Collagen Induction - skin needling?

Skin needling creates a controlled injury to the deeper dermis. Only a fraction of the skin is injured but a significant healing response is triggered to produce collagen production and textural improvement. All skin types can be treated, there is little social downtime and side effects are minimal. This treatment will reduce the surface depressions and is recommended for icepick, rolling and box scars.

Collagen Induction is a safe procedure that works by using the microneedling pen instead of the traditional dermal roller. The automated stamp-like micro-needling motion of the pen minimises pain and discomfort, while increasing the effectiveness of treatments.Collagen and Elastin are formed, new cells are generated and the blood supply in the dermis is enhanced. This can significantly improve the appearance of aged and sun-damaged skin, facial and decolletage lines and wrinkles, stretch marks and acne scars. Results can be seen after the first treatment, however significant, lasting results will be evident after more treatments, depending on the skin issue. Scar reduction with less downtime and less pain than older methods! Reduces open pores, improves wrinkles and fine lines and tightens the skin better than any facial I have seen!

Our Collagen Induction Micro needling takes effective collagen induction therapy to the next level, giving amazing results with less damage, and therefore less pain and recovery time. The advanced needling technology uses multiple needles to vertically pierce the skin with an automatic vibrating function. When moved across the skin's surface, it stimulates natural collagen reproduction while allowing fine channels to be created in the skin. These channels allow up to 80% more penetration from topical actives applied post treatment. Dermal needling is the perfect solution to a wide range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments, including; Yes we have topical anesthetic if you are concerned about pain...although because of the vibrations and very fine needles it is less painful with less downtime than older methods, laser etc:

What is the difference between the micro needling pen and a derma roller?

The sloped, or curved insertion of needles in the dermal rolling can create damaging trenches in the epidermis, leading to bleeding, pain and longer recovery time. It is also diffi ult around facial contours and delicate features.  The micro needling pen has an automated vertical stamping method and uses a sterilised disposable tip which is safer and more effective. This small tip helps treat hard to reach areas and it reduces epidermal damage and down time.  More importantly, we can treat the heard to reach and delicate places such as around the eyes, nose and lips where wrinkles are most visible.
